Frequently asked questions

Longer answers about how we work: engagements, ownership, security, and support. For the quick-fire version, see our Q&A.

1. What kind of projects do you take on?

Software platforms (ERP, CRM, LMS, SaaS), agentic AI systems, custom models, and data work, plus audits of systems you already run. If it ships to production and has to keep working, it’s our kind of project.

2. How does an engagement start?

A 20-minute call, then usually an audit or a two-week sprint. We scope in days, not months, and you get a written plan with clear costs before anything is built.

3. Who owns the code and the models?

You do. On final payment, all project code, model weights, and infrastructure configuration are transferred to you. We keep no lock-in. Everything runs without us.

4. What stack do you build on?

Boring and proven: TypeScript, Python, MongoDB/Postgres, Next.js, FastAPI. AI work uses Claude, GPT, and open-source fine-tunes, chosen per problem, not per hype cycle.

5. How do you handle our data?

UK/EU data residency by default, NDAs before any technical conversation, and self-hosted deployments (Docker on your infrastructure or ours) on request. We never train on your data without written agreement.

6. How do we see progress?

A working demo every week. You watch real software grow rather than reading status reports, and you can stop at any sprint boundary.

7. What happens after launch?

Builds include a 30-day support window. After that, most clients keep us on a light retainer for monitoring, updates, and improvements, but the handover docs mean you’re never dependent on it.

8. Can you work with our in-house team?

Yes. We regularly pair with internal engineers, hand off through code review, or embed one specialist via a Partner retainer. We adapt to your workflow, not the other way round.

9. What if we’re not sure we need AI at all?

Then say so on the call and we’ll give you a straight answer. A good share of our audits end with “you don’t need an LLM for this,” and a simpler, cheaper fix instead.
